I'm Sonia, and I welcome you to Coolcatss.
I've been an animal rights activist for 15 years and in the last 3 years have focused a lot on cats and their wonderful world.
In the last 3 years 110 cats have passed through my house; I go to the pound, I get them out, I help them recover physically and emotionally in my house and, later, I look for a family that they'll be happy with.
Coolcatss was born from the experience of helping these animals, from checking their needs both physically, socially, and emotionally, and from the need to create "something" that would allow them to meet their needs so that their recovery would be as smooth as possible.
During that search, after observing them often, reading studies, and talking to ethologists, I saw that cardboard boxes produced a very noticeable state of well-being. They are relatively small spaces, which provide them with a quiet and safe place, allowing them to regulate their temperature, isolate themselves from noises and smells, and encourage natural behaviors of their species.
The playful castle that we have created not only covers all these premises, but also keeps stress at bay, a cause of many diseases, contributes to cognitive maintenance and helps them experience positive emotions, which translates directly to optimal physical and emotional health.
Needless to say, it also provides high doses of fun and promotes physical exercise, complying with the guidelines of the AAFP (American Association of Feline Practitioners) and the ISFM (International Society of Feline Medicine)
